SUMMARY:
As Revenue Manager, you will lead the Revenue and Accounts Receivable teams and report to the Controller. In this role, you will oversee the complete revenue cycle, with a focus on accurate billing and cash application for the Company’s accounts receivable related to both Medicaid and Direct Provider receivables. You will ensure compliance with revenue recognition guidance (such as ASC 606), particularly for complex contracts with multiple deliverables, and provide analysis of accounts receivable reserves and key revenue metrics. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate close of the revenue cycle and all related reconciliations, assist in preparing audit schedules for the annual audit, and support special projects and other initiatives within the Accounting Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including, but not limited to:
• Manage the day-to-day AR operations including billings, payment applications, and credit applications
• Manage billing teams on processing all Medicaid Claims.
• Reconcile balances of unpaid claims for Medicaid billing.
• Manage Deferred Revenue reconciliations.
• Review weekly AR aging both for Medicaid team and for Direct Billing Teams.
• Manage Direct Provider AR team collections to ensure timely payments and resolve customer issues.
• Determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment for customer contracts in compliance with the Company’s revenue recognition policy and US GAAP.
• Responsible for analyzing and recording AR and AR related reserves and preparing the related account reconciliations.
• Partner with Sales Ops, Client Services, and other operation teams to ensure timely billing of receivables and claim submissions.
• Identify opportunities to automate, centralize, or streamline AR and revenue processes.
• Develop internal controls and recommend improvements to the revenue functions.
• Prepare various PBC schedules during annual audit.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and other projects as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 5 years accounting experience including at least 3 years of hands-on management in revenue accounting cycle.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, particularly ASC 606.
• Experience leading an Accounts Receivable team.
• Strong AR, billing, and cash application experience; experience with revenue automation tools is a plus.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP system experience.
• Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge in Excel.
• Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management.
• Confident, energetic, good judgment and personality to work in a dynamic environment across all levels of management and across functions.
• Preferred Background in Medicaid billing.
Salary : $100,000 - $105,000
