What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Specialist/Driver position at SafeHaven, Inc.?
Overview
Responsible for transporting members SafeHaven to and from site activity destinations. Ensures vehicles are properly maintained and safe for transportation. Schedules daily rider lists for pickup and dropoff. Maintains all required vehicle and rider logs. Monitors members en route and at destination activities. Follows all established SafeHaven guidelines for safety precautions. Establishes welcoming rapport with all riding members.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive and supportive relationships, including problem solving during conflict or stressful situations with the member at SafeHaven.
- Retrieve messages from answering machines/voice mail, collect names from sign up calendar, and schedule daily pick up/ drop off routes.
- Read and review folder containing incident reports and member updates on a daily basis before each route.
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner
- Assist consumers in entering and exiting van in a safe manner.
- Perform daily inspection checklist.
