What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Emergency Medical Transporter (Driver) in Orange County position at Safeguard Medical Transport?
Individuals must have a driver's license. You will be responsible for providing one way or round-trip transportation to our clients. Depending on the facility, you may have to go directly to patients' room to escort them to the vehicle and to their appointments, but do not have to accompany patients during their stay.
The time frame of these runs could go from 1-4 hours depending on the type of appointment they have. You will need to report to the van's destination, then to the client's pick-up location, then to their destination. If round-trip then you have to take patient back to their initial location. After your last run, you must return the van back to its location. Other duties include: tracking mileage and collecting payment from responsible payer.
