Job Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various HVAC equipment
- This role requires mechanical knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients
- Proficient in air conditioning installation and repair techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to plumb and build HVAC systems
- Ability to read and understand schematics for effective troubleshooting
- Experience in property maintenance related to HVAC operations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
- Knowledge of principles of air-conditioning unit repair and maintenance, including controls, MSDS sheets, safety practices and procedures and tools used.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, sheet metal and carpentry work.
- Ability to read and interpret building regulations and codes implemented by city, state and federal government agencies pertaining to installing air-conditioning units.
- Ability to make moderately complex mathematical computations accurately.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and sketches.
- Ability to express ideas effectively orally and in writing.
- Hold a mechanical contractor license from the state of Michigan in 3 of the 4 following categories/work classifications for at least 1 year: 1(a) Hydronic heating and cooling and process piping; 2(b) HVAC equipment; 4(d) Refrigeration; 9(i) Fire suppression
- 6 years of experience under a licensed mechanical contractor who can attest to your performance of mechanical work in 3 of the 4 categories 1(a) Hydronic heating and cooling and process piping; 2(b) HVAC equipment; 4(d) Refrigeration; 9(i) Fire suppression (This contractor must have held Michigan mechanical licenses in 3 of the 4 aforementioned categories at the time of supervision).
- Must be willing to obtain state of MI Mechanical Inspector license (Company can aid in this process)
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record required
