Summary: The Functional Lead – FI/CO is a senior, client-facing role responsible for providing hands-on SAP S/4HANA Financials configuration, functional support, and solution leadership within AMS/MSP delivery environments. This position acts as the onsite subject matter expert for Finance and Controlling, ensuring high-quality service delivery, effective issue resolution, and alignment of SAP solutions with complex enterprise financial processes. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to interact with senior client stakeholders, and deep expertise in S/4 FI/CO capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead onsite SAP S/4 FI/CO functional activities, including configuration, support, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary functional advisor to business owners, process leads, and AMS/MSP delivery teams.
- Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and change enhancements across FI/CO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-OM, COPA, etc.).
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and integrate with other SAP and non-SAP modules.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and solution reviews with client stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with integration, technical, and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive end-to-end solutions.
- Support governance processes, provide status reporting, and contribute to service quality improvements.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise financial controls and standardized processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on SAP S/4HANA FI/CO configuration experience within complex enterprise environments.
- Proven track record in AMS/MSP delivery, including incident management, enhancements, and service governance.
- Strong communication, client engagement, and executive-facing presentation skills.
- Experience working with Fortune 500 or large enterprise clients.
- Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and high-visibility role.
