Summary
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Contracts Manager to oversee the company’s contracting process, ensuring proper approvals, securing signatures, and proper filing of all company contracts. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and communication skills, and experience working cross-functionally with legal, finance, procurement, sales, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Working with legal counsel to shepherding a variety of commercial contracts (sales, procurement, NDAs, service agreements, subcontracts, SOWs) through the contract cycle.
- Maintain contract templates, clause libraries, and playbooks to standardize processes and reduce risk.
- Ensure contract compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage contract lifecycle — intake, approval routing, execution, storage, renewals, and amendments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate contractual risks; escalate legal issues as needed.
- Track key contract milestones, obligations, and deliverables; send reminders and coordinate renewals.
- Support dispute resolution and claims management in coordination with Legal.
- Train internal teams on contract best practices and procedures.
- Occasionally support CFO in administrative needs.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Contract Management, or related field (paralegal certificate a plus).
- 2 years’ experience in contract administration (in-house or law firm/consulting).
- Baseline understanding of commercial contract terms and common legal concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with contract management systems (e.g., DocuSign, AdobeSign, SignNow, etc.) and MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
