What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Duty Caregiver position at Safe and Sound Home Care?

We are seeking dedicated, energetic, and ethical caregivers to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal support
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist with mobility and ambulation
- Support safe movement inside the home and accompany clients to appointments, walks, or outings
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals
- Assist with shopping, errands, or accompany clients as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Observe, document, and promptly report any unusual changes or incidents; respond quickly in case of emergencies
- Engage clients in meaningful daily activities and provide assistance with tasks essential to their well-being
Qualifications
- Passion for providing one-on-one care and a willingness to continue learning and developing new skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Demonstrated ability to act with compassion, patience, and professionalism
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends as needed
- At least 1 year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care preferred
- Commitment to maintaining client safety and following established care standards
- High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant caregiving experience)
- Strong sense of pride in delivering high-quality, dependable care
- Must be 19 years of age or older
