Position Overview
Safe Haven is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide counseling services through our Treatment Department. This role supports individuals in a rural community with a significant need for accessible mental-health care.
This is an independent contract position offering flexibility to set your own schedule, manage your caseload, and work at your own pace while meeting client-care and documentation requirements. The position is hybrid, although in-office and face-to-face services are strongly preferred. This position offers all the benefits of a private practice model without the headaches.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy and counseling.
- Complete assessments and individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver trauma-informed and client-centered services.
- Support clients with mental-health, substance-use, recovery, and life-stability needs.
- Provide crisis intervention and referrals when appropriate.
- Coordinate care with Safe Haven staff and outside providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Protect client confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries.
- Participate in treatment-team meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Hold an active license authorizing mental-health therapy in Arkansas.
- Meet all applicable education, training, and licensing requirements.
- Have experience providing mental-health or behavioral-health services.
- Understand trauma-informed care, confidentiality, crisis response, and professional ethics.
- Be able to work independently and manage a flexible caseload.
- Complete required background and credential checks.
