Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Daycare Van Driver to transport children safely to and from our daycare facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a passion for working with children. Duties
- Safely transport children to and from daycare, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the van at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding pick-up and drop-off times, as well as any changes in schedules.
- Assist children in boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Handle any emergencies or unexpected situations calmly and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service to parents, staff, and children during transportation.
Skills
- Experience in shuttle driving or delivery driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with bus driving or paratransit services is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
