Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play
- Implement classroom management strategies to encourage positive behavior and foster a respectful environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan educational activities aligned with childhood development principles
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare area, including toys, supplies, and learning materials
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom environments
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices in early childhood education
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavioral challenges positively
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to work flexible hours that may include mornings, afternoons, or weekends as needed
