Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether in a home, community, or facility setting. This role requires a blend of personal care skills, patience, and the ability to work with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide personal care and support in various settings including home health, assisted living, and nursing homes.
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Implement care plans as directed by healthcare providers and assist with medication administration when necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support individuals with disabilities or special needs, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia care requirements.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely when assisting clients with mobility challenges.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or autism is a plus.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
