Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support for survivors of domestic violence.
- Assist survivors implement plans for housing assistance, employment assistance, education assistance, medical assistance, economic assistance and any other assistance relevant to stabilize victim’s lives after victimization.
- Assist survivors complete job applications, help with resumes, link clients to job training programs and may help clients develop a detailed employment action plan.
- Assist survivors complete GED and College applications and funding, provide assistance getting clients and/or their children into school, link clients to local child care programs and may help clients develop an education action plan.
- To help clients create a budget, repair their credit, advocate with DHS, and provide financial education.
- Provide legal advocacy and accompany survivors of domestic violence to court
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong emotional and empathy skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good listening skills to gather necessary information
- Familiarity with document management and ability to learn new software quickly
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
- Proficiency in data entry and ability to work with large amounts of information accurately
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
