WHAT YOU WILL DO:
This position will be responsible for performing Quality Control tests and inspections of incoming raw materials and finished products, calibration of lab instruments, record keeping, and general lab upkeep.
- Inspect, sample, and test incoming raw materials and packaging.
- Inspect, sample, and test finished products.
- Perform scheduled calibration of lab instruments and maintain calibration records.
- Prepare lab reagents.
- Collect and test production wastewater effluent.
- Recordkeeping of test data and inspections.
- Monitor, inspect, and dispose of finished product retain samples.
- Monitor production process of finished products to assure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Data entry (test results, calibration results, warehouse transfers, etc.)
- Inventory of lab reagents and supplies.
- General lab upkeep.
- Other duties as assigned.
YOUR MUST HAVES:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or Environmental Chemistry.
WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:
- Ability to work safely according to OSHA and company guidelines
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven good lab techniques and scientific principles and willingness to learn
- Problem-solving ability
- Excellent project management skills
- Must be able to read and follow directions
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must be able to be a contributing member of a team
OUR ENVIRONMENT:
This position is combination-based in our manufacturing plant environment & laboratory setting. Expected exposure to chemicals will require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
