Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained and presentable.
- Handle commercial cleaning duties in various facilities, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards.
- Assist with custodial tasks in both residential and industrial settings as needed.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues to management.
- Support facilities maintenance by performing minor repairs or reporting larger maintenance needs.
- Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized regularly throughout the day.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including walk behind scrub machine is a plus.
- Experience in commercial cleaning environments is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
