Job Summary
Safe Build Pros LLC is hiring dependable, experienced carpenters to assist with residential remodeling and property renovation projects throughout Philadelphia and South Jersey.
We are looking for skilled individuals who can work independently, follow project plans, communicate clearly, and produce professional-quality results. Our projects include full-home renovations, rental property rehabs, kitchens, bathrooms, framing, flooring, doors, windows, trim, drywall, and general residential repairs.
This position is ideal for a carpenter who takes pride in their work, understands residential construction, and wants consistent opportunities with a growing remodeling company.
Responsibilities
- Perform rough and finish carpentry for residential remodeling projects
- Frame interior walls, door openings, closets, ceilings, and other structures
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, countertops, baseboards, crown molding, and trim
- Install subflooring, hardwood, laminate, vinyl plank, and other flooring materials
- Repair or replace damaged framing, joists, studs, stairs, and wood components
- Build and repair decks, porches, railings, steps, and exterior woodwork
- Assist with kitchen, bathroom, basement, and whole-house renovations
- Read measurements, drawings, scopes of work, and basic construction plans
- Accurately measure, cut, assemble, and install building materials
- Identify hidden damage or construction issues and report them to the project manager
- Coordinate with laborers, electricians, plumbers, drywall installers, and other trades
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Protect occupied areas and customer property during construction
- Follow OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and lead-safe work practices when applicable
- Document completed work with photographs and daily progress updates
- Complete assigned work within established project schedules
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of residential carpentry, remodeling, or construction experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of rough and finish carpentry
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure, level, square, saws, drills, nail guns, and common carpentry tools
- Ability to install doors, trim, framing, flooring, cabinets, and other residential building components
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remodeling crew
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and professional communication
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to project locations
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical construction work
- Ability to work on ladders, stairs, and active construction sites
- Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with full-gut residential renovations
- Experience working in older Philadelphia rowhomes
- Experience repairing damaged or out-of-level framing
- Experience with kitchens and bathroom remodeling
- Experience with decks, stairs, railings, doors, windows, and finish trim
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting certification (optional)
- Ability to perform light drywall, painting, flooring, or general remodeling work
- Own basic hand tools and carpentry tools
- Ability to supervise helpers or less-experienced workers
- Ability to review material lists and identify what is needed to complete an assignment
Tools and Transportation
Applicants should have reliable transportation and basic personal hand tools. Safe Build Pros LLC may provide larger specialty tools and project-specific equipment depending on the assignment.
