What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Safe and Sound Home Care?
This position is for private duty care in the Oxford, MS area. Safe and Sound Home Care is a family-owned business dedicated to helping the elderly and disabled live safely and independently at home. Our proffessional care givers work one-on-one to assist clients with a variety, including personal hygiene care, great companionship, meals, nutritions and much more. We are looking for dedicated, entergetic, ethical care givers to join our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- provide personal care hygiene assitance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, enjuries or accidents by tending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist ambulaton
- Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointment, walks etc.)
- Plan and prepare meals
- Complete client shopping or go with them.
- Perform house keeping duties
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly incase of an emergency
- Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with meal, includig serving and other tasks if neccessary
QUALIFICATIONS
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve in continuously learn new skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
- Willingness to enforce help in safety standards
- High school diplmoma or equivalent/experience as a Caregiver.
