We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role is well-suited for an entry-level or early-career engineer who is ready to grow into a specialized industry. You will support the design and development of HVAC systems and mechanical assemblies while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

- Assist in the design, layout, and analysis of custom explosion proof HVAC equipment and field-installed projects.
- Prepare and update engineering drawings, 3D models, and BOMs (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).
- Select mechanical components and materials to meet project and customer requirements (fans, compressors, coils, housings, filters, etc.).
- Perform mechanical calculations and analysis (airflow, heat transfer, load, pressure drop, etc.) with guidance from senior engineers.
- Support system testing, validation, and troubleshooting in shop and field settings.
- Prepare submittal packages and technical documentation for projects, including design specs and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.
- Provide as-built redlines and updates to ensure complete project documentation.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and/or manufacturing industry practices.
- Familiarity with mechanical components such as fans, compressors, coils, heaters, and housings.
- Understanding of thermal loads, fluid flow, and structural design basics.
- Exposure to CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mechanical layout and design.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, or hazardous location requirements) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME required).
- Internship, co-op, or 0–3 years’ professional experience in mechanical or HVAC-related design.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting.
- Desire to work in a specialized field with strict safety and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and follow through on commitments.
