HR Assistant

Baton Rouge, LA | Full-Time | On-Site 

Position Summary

Safe Air Technology is seeking an organized, outgoing, and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our growing HR team. This position will play a key role in coordinating new hire onboarding, maintaining employee records, and managing performance review processes through ADP Workforce Now.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable speaking in front of groups, have strong administrative and communication skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will also provide general administrative support to the HR department and occasional front desk coverage.

Key Responsibilities

New Hire Onboarding & Orientation

• Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations, including presenting information to groups of employees.


• Complete all onboarding activities in ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accurate and timely processing of new hire documentation.


• Verify completion of required employment forms, policies, and acknowledgments.


• Work closely with HR and department managers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Performance Review Administration

• Manage and track all 30-day, 90-day, and annual employee performance reviews through ADP Workforce Now.


• Monitor review deadlines and follow up with supervisors and managers to ensure timely completion.


• Maintain accurate performance review records and provide status updates to HR leadership.

HR Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records.


• Assist with employee documentation, data entry, filing, and general HR correspondence.


• Respond to routine employee questions and direct inquiries to the appropriate HR team member.


• Support the HR team with various administrative duties, projects, and employee-related activities as needed.


• Assist with ensuring HR processes and records remain organized and up to date.

Front Desk Support

• Provide backup phone coverage for the front desk during employee breaks, absences, or scheduled time off.


• Answer and direct incoming calls professionally and assist visitors when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous HR administrative, onboarding, or office support experience preferred.


• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar HRIS system strongly preferred.


• Comfortable speaking and presenting information to groups of employees.


• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.


• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.


• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and willingness to assist wherever needed.
