ABOUT SAFARI SOP

Safari is a SaaS business on a mission to transform third-party legal processing. We are a profitable early-stage company scaling into a $50M revenue organization. Our experienced team has been innovating in the legal technology space for over two decades and is committed to leveraging AI across our products and operations.

Safari is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workplace.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the head of Product Management, the Product Manager will expand our core platform to a new target user group. You will turn market discovery into crisp, developer-ready feature specifications while actively participating in the go-to-market motion to help sell into and win this emerging customer segment. Working directly with prospects and key stakeholders, you will uncover deep operational pain points, build trust with external decision-makers, and translate high-level vision into tactical product requirements. This is a hands-on role for a skilled product practitioner who loves talking to future users, co-selling with GTM partners, and collaborating closely with engineering to ship high-impact software.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

  • Specification & Feature Development — Drive the detailed definition, scope, and specification of new features to extend Safari’s platform to a new market segment.
  • Prospect & Customer Discovery — Lead external discovery sessions with prospects and partners to map out complex workflows, validate user needs, and establish trust as a strategic product advisor.
  • Engineering Alignment — Partner daily with software developers and architects to communicate specifications, clarify requirements, conduct backlog grooming, and maintain development momentum.
  • Sprint Execution & Delivery — Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow diagrams to ensure engineering teams have full context to execute efficiently.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration — Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Executive leadership to synthesize external feedback into prioritized product deliverables.
  • GTM Enablement & Feedback — Serve as the bridge between early buyers and internal teams, equipping Sales and Customer Success with demo environments, collateral, and positioning for the new user persona.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven PM Experience — 1-3 years of hands-on experience as a B2B SaaS Product Manager, focused on feature scope, technical discovery, and developer execution.
  • Commercial & Discovery Mindset — Comfortable joining prospect calls, participating in early-stage sales cycles, and serving as a technical product advocate to help convert prospects into design partners and paying customers.
  • Strong Spec-Writing Capability — Demonstrated track record of converting ambiguous customer feedback into precise, well-structured product specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Client-Facing & Trust-Building Skills — Exceptional interpersonal and discovery skills, with a proven ability to engage prospects, build external rapport, and lead workflow workshops.
  • Developer-Adjacent Mindset — Comfortable working closely with engineering and technical teams to navigate trade-offs and solve complex execution challenges.
  • Domain Experience a Plus — Prior experience in legal tech, enterprise workflow management, or compliance software is a strong plus, but not required.
  • Education — MS or MBA in Product Management or equivalent degree is strongly preferred.
