Responsibilities
- Feed, water, and monitor the health of animals in kennels and farm areas
- Clean kennels, animal enclosures, and surrounding areas to ensure sanitation standards are met
- Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and daily animal care routines
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
- Support pet grooming, training, and behavioral assessments as needed
- Perform outdoor work including yard maintenance, fencing checks, and environmental upkeep
- Lift heavy supplies or equipment safely through team lifting practices to support daily operations
Requirements
- Prior experience with veterinary care or veterinary technician work is highly desirable
- Knowledge of pet sitting, dog training, or animal behavior is a strong plus
- Experience working in kennels or animal care facilities preferred
- Ability to handle animals confidently and safely during daily routines
- Comfortable performing cleaning tasks and maintaining sanitation standards in pet areas
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with pet owners and visitors
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work consistently
- Familiarity with pet grooming, animal restraint techniques, and pet boarding procedures is advantageous
- Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with animal care environments is beneficial
