Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Yardi, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy across all financial accounts.
- Record journal entries accurately, including debits & credits, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently to support cash flow management.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to verify the integrity of financial data.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing and account analysis for internal review.
- Support budgeting efforts by providing accurate data for financial planning and analysis..
- Execute double entry bookkeeping procedures with precision to maintain reliable financial records.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP standards, and governmental accounting if applicable.
- Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including journal entries, account analysis, and double entry bookkeeping.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax-related activities.
- Excellent knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, financial report writing, and budgeting processes.
- Proficiency in 10-key typing for efficient data entry and account management.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and general ledger reconciliation accurately.
