SAF Holland / Haldex, in Marion, NC is now accepting applications for an Assembler position.

This position performs sub-assembly and final assembly of various heavy duty truck products from their component parts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform sub-assembly and final assembly of various products using a variety of pneumatic tools, hand tools and specialized machinery
  • Test sub-assemblies and finished assemblies as per specifications and/or supervisor’s instructions using a variety of test procedures including electronic testers as well as manually operated testers.
  • Visually inspect parts for defects such as burrs, nicks, cracks, stripped threads, etc.
  • Place finished product in containers and boxes as required
  • Move tote boxes, trays, bins and other types of containers as required
  • Adhere to plant Safety Program and policies
  • Perform counts as required
  • Maintain a clean work area, tools, and equipment
  • Understand and actively participate in Haldex Way activities
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor

  • Must be able to read and write at minimum of a tenth-grade level.

  • Must be able to work the required shift hours and any overtime as required
  • Must be able to lift thirty to ninety pounds intermittently over a regularly scheduled work day
  • Must be able to stand, walk or sit for the period of a regularly scheduled work day
  • Must be able to bend over, grasp, push and pull heavy loads as required
  • Must be able to use pneumatic tools, hand tools and various other machines such as electronic tests, manual testers, vices, presses, etc. as required

  • ORAL: Must be able to effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers
