What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foundry Engineer position at SAF Careers?
This is a full-time, on-site role in Clinton, South Carolina, located between Greenville and Columbia. The Foundry Engineer will be responsible for generating quotes for castings, collaborating with the engineering team, getting tooling into production, and ensuring pricing accuracy. They will handle customer requests, analyze technical drawings, and prepare detailed quotations. The specialist will also maintain and update pricing databases and assist in improving quote processes for efficiency as we automate and develop AI/ML/RPA across the enterprise. There will also be aspects of project management and ensuring that deadlines are met.

Requirements:- Experience in quoting, pricing, and preparing detailed quotations preferred
- Proficiency in analyzing/creating technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy for pricing
- Knowledge of the casting industry and manufacturing preferred
- Familiarity with pricing databases and data management
- Knowledge and/or willingness to create/implement AI/ML/RPA
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
- Ability to work on-site in South Carolina, United States
- CAD proficiency required
- Office environment with occasional production environment exposure
