Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled 2 Cycle Shop Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining two-cycle engines, with a focus on efficiency and quality. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and effectively. Duties

• Diagnose mechanical problems in two-cycle engines using appropriate tools and techniques
• Perform repairs and maintenance on various models of 2-stroke engines, including replacing parts and tuning for optimal performance
• Use specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure proper functionality
• Keep detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
• Advise customers on proper engine care and troubleshooting tips when applicable
• Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to prevent accidents or injuries

Skills

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, including ohmmeters, for electrical testing
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on two-cycle engines or similar small engines
• Ability to troubleshoot complex engine issues accurately and efficiently
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
• Prior experience in engine repair or a related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed
