We are seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator / Operations Manager to lead our estimating team and oversee the operational execution of awarded projects. This role is critical in evaluating bid opportunities, preparing accurate and competitive estimates, and ensuring a smooth transition from pre-construction through project closeout.The ideal candidate will bring extensive HVAC industry experience, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Pre-ConstructionEvaluate bid opportunities and determine which projects align with company strategy and profitability goalsPrepare and oversee accurate, competitive HVAC estimates for small to large-scale projectsLead and manage a team of three estimators, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely bid submissionsReview scopes of work, pricing structures, and estimate breakdowns prior to proposal submissionCoordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain timely and competitive pricing; negotiate terms as neededEnsure all estimates meet company margin requirements and risk standardsProject Closeout & Continuous ImprovementOversee project closeout to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilledAssist with final documentation, including warranties, as-built drawings, and closeout packagesConduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and improve future estimating and operations processesQualificationExtensive knowledge of HVAC systems, industry standards, and cost structuresStrong negotiation skills with vendors and subcontractorsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilitiesProficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
