Essential Functions
- Supervise daily operations to ensure production, quality, and safety standards are consistently met
- Lead, train, and motivate employees; set expectations and hold teams accountable
- Schedule labor and equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
- Enforce company safety policies and proactively address unsafe conditions or behaviors
- Monitor workflow, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement continuous improvements
- Coordinate with maintenance, logistics, and management teams to support operations
- Conduct timely performance feedback and participate in employee development efforts
- Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, and company policies
- Hold toolbox talks with direct reports at the beginning of every shift to ensure production needs are met.
- Communicate with the direct supervisor on daily production progress.
- Communicate with the maintenance Supervisor on any repairs or preventive maintenance needs.
- Handle inventory management, movement, transfers, and inspection.
- Complete monthly safety audits.
- Make sure work areas are clean and accessible.
- Review the Ready-to-Ship calendar daily to make sure loads are good to ship.
- Extensive knowledge of scrap metal business and processing.
- Thorough knowledge of consumer specifications.
- Ability to train others how to properly run our equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at time, stressful environment.

- Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
