What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator & Salesperson position at SADEV USA, INC.?
Estimator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Analyze proposal specifications, architectural & structural drawings, fab drawings and other documentation to determine the scope of work and prepare estimates on behalf of SADEV USA;
· Consult with customers, our internal manufacturing & design team, outside vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues, review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials.
· Monitor customer changes in the project scope during the estimate period, maintaining files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including accurate information on prices from suppliers and subcontractors; follow up on status’ of proposed estimates.
· Help identify new opportunities for estimating, maintain customer relationships, increase sales, and other duties as they may become necessary.
A successful Estimator will be able to multitask, prioritize competing tasks and deadlines when required and demonstrate the ability to efficiently work and make the best decisions under pressure from customers on various projects in different stages of completion.
They must demonstrate the ability to anticipate and address any potential issues; i.e. design, supply chain and field issues etc. They must be a strong team player who is proactive, possesses creative problem-solving skills, and demonstrates good business judgment and can work comfortably in a fast-paced office atmosphere. This position requires the Estimator to be responsive to requests from customers and colleagues.
Qualifications:
· Must be able to read, analyze and understand hardware specifications on blueprints, architectural & fabrication drawings in order to prepare estimates and do “take offs” to determine what and how many of each item a customer needs.
- Must be organized and pay great attention to details.
· Experience: 2 or more years in estimating or similar field.
