Position: Animal Care Supervisor and Team Member
Location: Weatherford, Texas

Role Overview
This position supports daily animal care operations at the ranch while assisting with team guidance and facility upkeep. The role is hands on and includes animal care, record keeping, guest interaction, communication with safari operations, and general ranch duties. The goal is to maintain a high standard of care for all animals on property.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide daily care including feeding, watering, grooming, cleaning, and monitoring animal health
• Assist with morning, midday, and evening feedings for animals on property
• Clean and maintain animal enclosures, barns, and care areas
• Observe animal behavior and report any changes or concerns
• Administer basic medical treatment as directed and work closely with veterinarians
• Maintain accurate and up to date animal records and care logs
• Assist with preparing specialized diets with the Animal Care team
• Organize and maintain animal enclosures, tools, and equipment
• Support enrichment activities that promote animal well being
• Assign and assist with daily animal care tasks as needed
• Help train and support Animal Care staff when required
• Follow established care procedures and state regulations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful work environment
• Communicate regularly with safari team members, including guides and drivers, to ensure they are informed of any animal updates or pressing animal related matters
• Share relevant animal information with safari operations to support guest safety and experience
• Assist with facility upkeep, barn maintenance, and general ranch duties
• Participate in team meetings and communicate clearly with staff and management
• Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Prior exotic animal care experience required
• At least one year of hands on animal care experience preferred
• Veterinary or animal related education is a plus but not required
• Genuine care and respect for animals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care protocols
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Clear communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must speak English fluently
• Must be located in Texas
Work Environment
This is an active, outdoor role on a working ranch with a variety of animals. This position may require working holidays, which are compensated at time and a half. While no additional benefits are offered, the role provides meaningful hands on experience in animal care and daily ranch operations.
