About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and hardworking individual or couple to serve as a sole-charge barn manager. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of our private farm, which is home to six pleasure horses of which 2 also drive carriages and 4 alpacas.This is a long-term position in a great work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Horse & Barn Care:
- Mucking out stalls and alpaca pen.
- Feed preparation and distribution.
- Grooming and bathing horses.
- Cleaning and maintaining tack.
- Bandaging legs and administering basic first aid for cuts and scrapes.
- Deep cleaning of the barn.
- Tacking up horses for both saddle and driving.
- Ordering hay, feed, bedding, and other consumables.
- Keeping pastures, including shelters, clean of trash.
- Horse Management & Training:
- Training and exercising horses.
- Warming up horses for riders.
- Assisting owners with riding, riding lessons, and driving.
- Addressing medical conditions and scheduling appointments with the farrier and vet.
- Property Maintenance:
- Checking fences for damage, including wires, solar panels, and missing caps.
- Dragging the track, arena, and round pen.
- Mucking the pastures
- Mowing the 6- 1 acre pastures on the zero-turn mower seasonally
- Carriage maintenance.
- Adding daily tasks to the TeamUp calendar.
- Riding
- Driving license
- Equine First-Aid and general First-Aid
- Handling youngstock
- Lunging
- Bandaging
- Sole Charge experience
- Exercising horses

- Accommodation: A beautiful furnished 1-bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor of our 12-stall horse barn is available.
