Description
What you would do:
Executive Support
Manage and maintain Pastor of Campus Development calendar, including scheduling and prioritization
Support Pastor of Campus Development with expense management through Ramp, including coding and submitting expenses
Meeting, Calendar, & Communication Support
Coordinate meetings and logistics
Maintain and update the Campus Development Team Event Calendar as needed
Support scheduling alignment across the Campus Development Team
Take notes during meetings
Assist with communication and coordination as needed
Team Support
Maintain and update administrative files weekly
Reserve rooms, provide hospitality (snacks, pens, notes, etc), coordinate meals for meetings and events
Coordinate travel and lodging for the Campus Development team and guests
Assist with administrative needs that support team effectiveness, organization and care
Support logistics for CP Summit and Return Gathering
Attend team meetings as well as Saddleback all-staff meetings and trainings
What you have done:
2–3 years of administrative or office support experience, preferably in a church, nonprofit, or customer service environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience supporting multiple team members, coordinating meetings, and managing schedules
Experience coordinating events, logistics, or ministry-related projects preferred
Familiarity with ministry environments or church operations is a plus
Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills
Familiarity with Google tools (Gmail, Google Spreadsheets, Google Docs, etc) preferred
Familiarity with church systems (especially The Rock) preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle sensitive information with care
A heart for service, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit
Comfortable supporting both central and campus team needs with flexibility
A collaborative, servant-hearted attitude that reflects Saddleback’s staff values
Commitment to Saddleback’s theological beliefs, staff values, and lifestyle covenant
Decision Making:
Makes day-to-day administrative decisions independently (e.g., booking travel, ordering supplies)
Collaborates with supervisors and ministry leaders for broader decisions or scheduling priorities
Unique Working Conditions:
Occasional evening and weekend responsibilities for church events, conferences, and leadership gatherings
May be required to travel locally to campuses or ministry events as needed
Fast-paced ministry environment requiring flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities
Saddleback Church’s pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity and budgetary considerations for effective stewardship. The estimated pay rate for this position is $19-$20 annually/hourly, depending on experience. We will provide a pay rate within our salary structure that fits a candidate’s qualifications and experience for the job. The posted wage range does not guarantee a specific job offer.
