Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to enhance the dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating charts effectively to optimize guest flow.
- Communicate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure timely service.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items and restaurant policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Handle guest relations with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a passion for helping others create memorable dining experiences.
- Familiarity with food service operations is a plus; training will be provided as needed.
- Knowledge of Aloha POS system is advantageous but not mandatory.
