Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management, food safety awareness, and cash handling skills to deliver exceptional service.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, offering recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Manage cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Restock bar supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service when applicable, including catering or banquet events.
- Adhere to all health regulations related to food handling and beverage service.
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat patronage.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar food service role; experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet environments is preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple guests simultaneously.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed within a hospitality setting.
- Previous experience in the food industry, including catering or retail math knowledge, is advantageous.
