Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented full cycle bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting functions for a multi-state business. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal staff and external partners. The bookkeeper reports to the President of Operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience handling the full accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
· Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, payment application and AR reconciliation
· Manage Accounts Payable, including entering bills and processing vendor payments
· Process multi-state payroll and required reporting
· Prepare and maintain quarterly multi-state sales commission reports
· Prepare monthly financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet)
· Perform monthly close and reconciliations
· Maintain organized accounting documentation and records
· Research and resolve account discrepancies
· Assist in preparing financial records and reports for CPA review and tax preparation
· Maintain accurate accounting records and internal controls
· Support additional accounting and administrative projects as needed
Qualifications
· Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience required.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
· Experience with Agvance or other accounting/ERP systems preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client interaction.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Experience managing accounting for multiple entities or multi-state operations preferred.
