Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to patients in homecare setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks, grooming, and dressing if needed.
- Must have experience with lifts for this client
- Paraplegic client in need of 10-20 hours a week, day shift
- Support patients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the patient's quality of life.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Experience working in home care setting is helpful.
- Knowledge of homecare practices will be beneficial for providing specialized support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team are essential.
