Job Description:
Duties:

- Work effectively with the program leader, physician, clinical, and support staff to assure they have adequate information to provide appropriate care.
- Perform related testing for new and continuing clients on an as needed basis.
- Administer medications as prescribed, monitor for adverse effects.
- Perform on-going assessments, including alcohol breathalyzer and blood pressure, of clients prior to and while dosing with methadone or other medications as prescribed.
- Assure that all services provided are properly documented in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with the policies and procedures of Sacred Heart, the standards of CARF, and all applicable payer/care manager rules and regulations.
- At all times, maintain the appropriate licensure and/or certification relevant to this position.
- Communicate effectively during shift change report and participates with accuracy of the narcotic count.
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in good standing.
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs of people with substance use disorders and mental health problems is desirable
- An ability to develop a therapeutic relationship.
- Able to operate basic computer software.
- At all times, maintain CPR and AED certification and appropriate licensure.
- Ability to work different shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.
