What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Infant Teacher position at Sacred Heart Early Learning Center?
Essential Duties
- Lead an room with older infants(12-18 months)
- Maintain & follow a daily schedule
- Establish developmentally appropriate activities
- Maintain confidentiality for children, families, staff, and program.
- Promote nurturing and bonding relationships.
- Communicate with parents in a positive manner on a regular basis.
- Participate in yearly continuing education professional opportunities.
- Positive team interaction.
- Complete appropriate daily paperwork.
Physical Requirements
- Safely lift a child or children with a total weight up to 50 pounds.
- Conduct activities involving substantial standing, walking, and moderate sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, twisting, and reaching on a frequent basis.
- Work with hands above shoulder height with a weight up to 20 pounds.
- Work with arms extended at shoulder height with a weight up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to stoop, bend and kneel on the floor without assistance.
- Work with the children on gross motor skills outside in all elements of the weather.
Education Requirements
- Associates degree or higher
- Related job experience
