Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications • Prior coaching experience with youth, middle school, or high school lacrosse athletes recommended - not required as long as there is a passion to develop yourself as well! • Strong understanding of lacrosse fundamentals, safety, and player development principles. • Ability to communicate clearly with teenagers and motivate them in a positive way. • Commitment to mentoring student-athletes academically, socially, and athletically. • Must pass all school background checks safety certifications (SHC will provide training) Preferred: • Playing experience and/or knowledge of the sport is required. • Experience coaching at the high school, club, or varsity level. • Background in designing development-focused drills, progressions, and practice plans. • Familiarity with supporting multi-sport athletes and different learning styles.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft software applications, Google/Gmail and internet usage, and; database management preferred Physical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as talk and hear.
