Forklift Operator - Job Description
Location: Yuba City
Job Type: Seasonal, NonExempt
Pay Range: $19 per hour
Position Objective
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, stack, and relocate product and materials. This position supports production flow, inventory accuracy, and compliance with all food safety and workplace safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a forklift to move raw and finished product
- Load/unload trucks and stage materials for processing
- Maintain accurate inventory tags and documentation
- Follow all GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and Cal/OSHA safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members to support production flow
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operations
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year forklift experience (warehouse or food facility preferred)
- Strong safety record
- Ability to work in fastpaced environments and cold storage
- Good coordination, attention to detail, and inventory awareness
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate equipment for extended periods

Work Environment
- Warehouse and production setting, including cold storage
- Regular exposure to outdoor conditions, including hot weather and seasonal temperature extremes
- PPE required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
