We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR/ Payroll Admin Assistant. to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk and payroll processes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records. This role is crucial in supporting our HR department and ensuring that all employees are supported. The HR/Payroll Admin. Assistant will work closely with various departments to streamline payroll operations and enhance overall efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Front Desk Support
- HR's first point of contact
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee hours, deductions, and tax information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit necessary governmental accounting reports related to payroll.
- Collaborate with HR to manage employee data within the HRIS system.
- Conduct audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist the HR Manager and the Generalist as needed.
- Manage all employee engagement activites.
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries related to payroll transactions.
- Provide support for payroll inquiries from employees and management.
Skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems for effective data management.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations related to payroll processing.
- Experience in payroll management practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles is a plus.
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts, including double entry bookkeeping.
- Ability to perform journal entries accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
