Comments and Other Information
We are seeking temporary staff to support a short-term project running from late July/early August through October, with some assignments extending through November. Schedules will vary between 3–5 days per week and 2–5 hours per day.
About the Williams Monitoring Work
Williams Team Members support the implementation of the Williams Settlement, a landmark California legal agreement focused on ensuring educational equity in under-resourced schools. Through this initiative, SCOE monitors public school sites to verify that:
• Students have access to sufficient instructional materials
• Facilities are safe, clean, and in good repair
• Williams Complaint Notices are properly posted and visible
This important oversight helps promote transparency, equity, and accountability across Sacramento County.
Job Summary
Williams Team Members conduct in-person site visits to public schools throughout the county.
Responsibilities may include:
• Evaluating textbook and instructional material sufficiency
• Assessing facility conditions and identifying any health or safety concerns
• Verifying visibility and content of Williams Complaint Notices
• Interacting professionally with school-site staff
• Preparing clear, written reports documenting site visit findings
Compensation
$62.50 per hour
Part-time, Exempt Temporary Employee (ETE) assignment
Qualifications
Familiarity with school site operations or facilities maintenance (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines
Examination/Selection Process
Candidates who pass screening will be invited to participate in a remotely administered interview process, requiring a computer, webcam, and microphone. If you are unable to participate remotely, contact the designated representative before the deadline to make alternate arrangements.
