Duties
- Supervise and direct electrical crews on commercial construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop and maintain detailed project schedules using construction management software like Primavera P6 or HeavyBid
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, utilizing tools such as ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation and communication
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards (OSHA) and industry best practices
- Oversee budgeting activities related to labor, materials, and equipment costs to keep projects within scope
- Supervise subcontractors and vendors, ensuring all work complies with contractual obligations and safety regulations
- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeter for troubleshooting electrical systems and ensure proper functioning of all installed components
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, change orders, daily logs, and safety records
Skills
- Extensive construction site experience with a strong background in commercial electrical systems
- Proven management and supervising experience leading electrical crews on large-scale projects
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Primavera P6, Primavera P3, Bluebeam, ProCore, Construction management platforms
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for electrical systems
- Knowledge of construction estimating techniques including use of HeavyBid or similar tools
- Familiarity with project scheduling principles to coordinate multiple trades effectively
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction sites
- Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting using Ohmmeter or similar diagnostic tools
