Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Coordinator/Dispatcher to join our team. This role is essential in managing transportation operations, coordinating freight movements, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, analysis abilities, and experience with transportation management systems to optimize supply chain efficiency and support fleet management activities.
Hours are Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm
Some overtime is required as needed.
Duties:
- Ensure routes are filled as assigned assigned and drivers are provided with accurate instruction
- Communicate with drivers on schedules and assignments
- Support and respond to customer and driver inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Complete daily reporting and recordkeeping
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a dispatching position preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
