Description
Performs analysis of the financial condition of individuals and businesses for the Bank’s prospective and existing commercial lending relationships. Analysis includes completion of financial statement spreads, business and personal cash flow analysis, collateral adequacy, guarantor assessment, rental real estate and business cash flow, review of credit reports, and applying appropriate risk ratings within our commercial loan origination system.
Essential Functions:
- Underwrite and prepare formal analyses for commercial loan requests, renewals, amendments, and extensions being presented to the Bank’s Loan Committee.
- Organize and prepare spreadsheets, analytical information, and provide narrative summaries of the credit worthiness of borrowers/guarantors.
- Become proficient with the Bank’s commercial loan origination system (LoanVantage).
- Identify credit risks and provide mitigating factors available to minimize that risk to the Bank.
- Perform credit inquiries, including credit reports and trade inquiries; analyze and summarize findings.
- Assess compliance with regulatory guidelines and identifies exceptions to loan policy.
- Assist in risk management of business loan portfolio by performing annual renewal and review analysis on existing loans and other analysis as required.
- Provide technical support and assistance to Commercial Loan Officers as needed.
- Provide support to the loan review department as needed.
- Provide professional, courteous and efficient service to all internal and external customers.
- Comply with federal and state banking regulations, as well as with all bank and department policies and procedures.

Working Conditions:
- Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- Normally seated with freedom of movement on a regular basis.
- Extensive operation of computers and other office equipment requiring dexterity and coordination and frequent use of hands.
Requirements
- Four-year degree with emphasis in accounting, finance or business administration preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in commercial credit analysis, business/personal tax return analysis, and financial statement analysis software.
- Basic understanding of the lending process and familiarity with loan products.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
