Mill Supervisor

Job Overview

Sachs Peanuts is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Mill Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our peanut milling department. This position is responsible for leading a small team, maintaining production efficiency, supporting food safety and quality standards, and ensuring equipment and processes operate effectively.

The ideal candidate is a dependable leader with manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Duties

• Supervise daily milling operations to meet production, quality, and efficiency goals
• Lead, coach, and support mill operators and production personnel
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime
• Review production schedules and ensure adequate staffing and workflow coverage
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, food safety, and workplace safety requirements
• Maintain production records, shift reports, and operational documentation
• Work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Packaging teams
• Investigate and address production issues, quality concerns, and operational challenges
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and operational projects

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3 years of manufacturing, production, or food processing experience
• Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to prioritize work, solve problems, and make sound decisions
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
