What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech position at Sachdev Family Orthodontics?
EXPERIENCE:
- NO PREVIOUS DENTAL EXPERIENCE NEEDED. We offer hands-on training at the workplace. Candidate will start as a Records/Sterilization Technician. Any interested candidates who are willing to study further will progress to being orthodontic dental assistants.
- Those with previous dental or orthodontic experience are encouraged to apply as well.
- MUST be a high school graduate
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform intraoral scans
- Assist the orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment during orthodontic procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for procedures
- Take dental x-rays as directed by the orthodontist
- Assist with patient assessment and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and care instructions

Travel: This job requires travel to both the locations of our office: Ringwood NJ ( 2 days a month) and Garnerville NY ( 3 days a week). Must be willing to travel as needed.
Required days at our Garnerville, NY location are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. See schedule below. Our Ringwood, NJ location is currently open two days a month, but this will increase as our new practice grows.
Schedule:
21-25 hours a week
Monday 9:30 AM- 6 PM
Tuesday 10:30-6 PM (twice a month at NJ location)
Wednesday 9:30-6 PM
Fridays 9:30 AM- 6 PM
Saturdays 8:00 AM-10 AM (Once every other month at NY location)
Job Type: Part-time
