Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in the preparation and implementation of lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Support students with diverse needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum, by providing tailored assistance and encouragement.
- Foster a nurturing environment through effective communication and relationship-building with students.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Participate in curriculum development and adapt materials to meet the needs of all learners.
- Provide care for toddlers in daycare or preschool settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with educators to assess student progress and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain organized classroom materials and assist in maintaining a clean learning space.
Requirements
- Experience or training in childcare, daycare, or educational settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other child-centered approaches is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
- Ability to engage with children of various ages while demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Skills in lesson planning and classroom management are highly desirable.
- A passion for working with children and supporting their developmental needs is essential.
