As a Victim Advocate Case Manager, you play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals who have been victims of domestic and sexual violence. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to supporting those in need during challenging times.
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.
- Provide advocacy services to victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Advocate for victims' needs and rights within various systems
- Assist survivors in developing safety plans.
- Provide support, information, referrals, case management, and other advocacy assistance as requested by survivors.
- Assist survivors with problem solving barriers and accessing resources. Help victims access necessary resources such as counseling, housing, and legal services
- Collaborate with law enforcement, social services, and other agencies on behalf of victims
- Provide information and education to survivors regarding domestic and sexual violence.
- Participate in shared activities which may include answering the hotline, outreach, staff meetings, trainings, and community events.
- Maintain strict victim/survivor confidentiality
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training and/or experience providing advocacy and crisis intervention services.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
- Must complete 40-hour Victim Advocacy Certification Training.
- Must be able to clear a criminal background check.
Preferred Skills:
- Fluent Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability in providing direct support, information and referral, crisis intervention, advocacy and education to victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
- Strong crisis management skills
- Experience working with children and families
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles
- Understanding of child welfare and protective services
- Familiarity with family law and protection orders

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
