Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Shop Technician role based in Odessa, TX. The Shop Technician will perform regular maintenance, inspection, and repair of equipment used in industrial automation and Oil & Gas operations, ensuring all machinery is safe, reliable, and compliant with company standards. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and basic electrical issues, conducting troubleshooting, performing part replacement, and preparing equipment for deployment to field locations. The role involves operating shop machinery and forklifts, organizing tools and materials, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The Shop Technician will also communicate with supervisors and team members to report equipment status, prioritize work orders, and support continuous improvement in shop processes.
Qualifications
- Maintenance & Repair skills for industrial, mechanical, or heavy-duty equipment.
- Experience with Heavy Equipment handling and safe Forklift Operation in a shop or warehouse environment.
- Strong Troubleshooting abilities to identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Effective Communication skills for coordinating with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read and follow technical manuals or drawings.
- Commitment to safety practices, including adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certification in a related field is a plus.
