Duties And Responsibilities
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce shop and erection drawings, plans, and bills of material, based on project/equipment specifications and requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Read and interpret equipment specifications and details
- Communicate and coordinate consistently with engineers and senior designers to clarify design intent
- Ensure that all drawings and plans adhere to company and industry standards and guidelines
- Iterate and issue revisions and version control
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of drawings and plans
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews
- Issue submittal packages
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project files and records
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
- Training in AutoCAD 2D drafting
- Willingness to learn and grow into advanced CAD responsibilities
- Strong computer skills and technical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work under deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be local to Alexandria, Louisiana
