Transmission & Distribution (T-Line) Superintendent

Saber Power Services, LLC, (SPS) located in Houston, TX is a nationally recognized full service, EPC, specialty engineering, procurement, construction and testing and commissioning company specializing in complex medium and high voltage electrical infrastructure in North America.  

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transmission & Distribution (T-Line) Superintendent to oversee the field execution of transmission line and overhead distribution construction projects. This role is responsible for managing crews and subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily field operations on T-Line and distribution projects, including structure erection, conductor stringing, and associated civil work.
• Lead crews in the installation, maintenance, and reconstruction of overhead transmission and distribution lines (typically 4kV–500kV).
• Ensure all work meets utility standards, construction drawings, and environmental/safety regulations.
• Schedule manpower, equipment, and materials to maximize project productivity and safety.
• Conduct daily tailgate safety meetings and enforce job site safety rules and procedures.
• Communicate progress and issues clearly to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation, including redline drawings, daily logs, inspections, and safety reports.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and utility personnel.
• Troubleshoot construction challenges in the field and provide timely solutions.
• Mentor crew members and support training in safe work practices and quality expectations.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in high voltage transmission and distribution line construction, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of T-Line construction methods, tools, and safety practices.
• Familiarity with bucket trucks, digger derricks, wire tensioning equipment, and other line construction machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, staking sheets, and technical standards.
• OSHA 30 Certification required; CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on remote or rotating projects.
• Preferred:
• Prior experience working on utility or EPC-led projects.
• CDL and/or crane certification is a plus.
• Understanding of NESC, ANSI, and utility-specific standards.
